Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival Highlights
Taste of the Tetons on Sunday, September 7 offers up some edible art varieties that are affordable to any art collector’s budget. Local chefs, restaurants, and caterers come to impress with tasty confections available for sampling in the $2-$4 range. Make sure to pair your samplings with the perfect wine selection. This event also features plenty of local art with the Takin’ it to the Streets art fair, which gives local artists a chance to display their talents and crafts. Live music by Howdy Pardners Ambassador Club.
Ever wonder how an artist works, well you can get a glimpse into their art process when they paint live for your viewing pleasure at the 19th Annual Jackson Hole Quick Draw Art Sale & Auction on Saturday, September 13, 2014. The event features national, regional, and local artists. Artists are given ninety minutes to create a fresh, sometimes the paint isn’t even dry yet, masterpiece. If you like what you see buy it at the auction that follows. The Festival featured works “Forever Jackson” by Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey and “Teton Symphony” by Joshua Tobey will also be auctioned off as well. Happy bidding.
Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival Art Walks
A festival favorite year in and year out is the Palates & Palettes Gallery Walk. Each participating gallery pairs their art with local restaurants and wine offerings. Make your way around to more than 30 galleries while viewing great works of art and sampling amazing food. It goes from 5pm-8pm, Friday, September 5, 2014, but be sure to arrive promptly, as the food will be sure to go as quick as the art.
The local’s favorite Third Thursday Art Walk series moves to a special night on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 just for the Festival. It’s like a treasure hunt but with art. Just look for the Art Walk banners and make your way to the more than 30 participating art galleries. The Art Walk runs from 5pm-8pm.
There is one last chance to make your rounds of the galleries if you haven’t yet, and this time it’s served with brunch. Enjoy brunch and a Bloody Mary at the Art Brunch Gallery Walk from 11am-3pm on Sunday, September 14, 2014 and close out the 30th Annual Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival in style.
