Wake Up in Style - Breakfast Floats - Jackson Hole

Enjoy the solitude of an early morning float on the Snake River. Seven pair of nesting eagles inhabit this scenic stretch. Sightings of eagles, osprey and white pelicans are a daily occurence. Halfway through our float we stop on a secluded island and enjoy a delicious streamside brunch.

Trips leave at 7am Daily and last 4-5 hours.

Sunset Floats

The late afternoon light on the river bottom creates magical moments. Combine this with the solitude of a secluded island setting and superbly prepared hors d'oeuvres, and you have the makings of very special vacation memories. This is a wonderfully romantic float for couples. You are welcome to bring along your own adult beverages.

Trips leave at 4pm Daily and last 4-5 hours.

The Activities

Flyfishing

We've been guiding fly fishermen in our wooden dories since 1978. Whether beginner or expert, we can show you the best the Snake River has to offer. This year we also have private access waters for casting and fishing lessons. Call us to arrange a custom fly fishing trip.

Photography

Those in pursuit of unique images will find opportunities not available to the roadside amateur. You'll really appreciate our drift boats' versatility: when you see the shot of a lifetime, we'll beach the boat so you can set up your tripod.

Naturalist Tour

Unlike the large inflatable rafts that hold a dozen or more people, our small, shallow draft wooden boats allow us to get out of the main river and explore it's many side channels. It's here that we can stop and get a more intimate glimpse of life along the river bottom. Your host on this river adventure is a longtime professional guide and his knowledge of the riparian habitat is extensive. He is a naturalist, entomologist, and historian.

Wildlife & Bird Watching

The river corridor is home to a diverse array of birds and mammals. Quite often we will see Bald Eagles and Osprey diving for fish. It is awe inspiring to see one of these birds hit the water and be rewarded with a fat Cutthroat Trout for dinner. Mallard, Goldeneye and Bufflehead Ducks are very common. The Common Merganser and Canada goose are always around, often trailing a brood of young. The prehistoric looking Great Blue Heron will be seen as well as a Heron rookery. The Sunrise and Sunset floats are best for viewing Moose, Elk and Deer. At dusk we are often startled by the splash of a Beaver's tail as he dives in view of our boat. River Otter, Mink and Coyotes are not uncommon along the riverbank.
